Blue skies and warm weather welcomed around 4,000 lacrosse players, fans and coaches to the Adrenaline Summer Lacrosse Tournament this past weekend in Del Mar. The event kicked off on Friday afternoon at the Del Mar polo grounds just east of the San Diego County Fair. Dozens of food trucks and product vendors lined the entrance of the tournament as regional clubs spanning from Seattle to Orange County and everywhere in between made their way out to the fields. Teams as young as u-9 all the way through the high school elite bracket battled it out for a chance at their respective championship games on Sunday and there was no shortage of talent across the board.

Several programs took home the hardware in more than one bracket including the hometown RC Starz along with Seattle Starz and Vegas Starz. The two u-11 brackets were won by Vegas Starz in the Hounds 2022/2023 section and SoCal Express in the Lizards 2022/2023. The u-13 schedule was comprised of two brackets as well with the Seattle Starz winning one side in the Cannons 2020/2021 and Vegas Starz hoisting the other trophy in the Bayhawks 2020/2021.  The oldest middle schoolers fought for u-15 championships in the Rattlers 2019 and Machine 2019 brackets with RC Starz taking home the first and Vegas Starz winning the latter.

The high school level was composed of four different brackets including the Gatorade and Data HS brackets along with the Adrln and Strife elite brackets. These brackets were filled with top competition from all over the west at the highest level. The most experienced high school squads fought for the top trophies and some intense play was on display throughout the weekend. In the HS division the Denver Elite Blue squad defeated SFC 12 to take the Gatorade crown and on the other side a Seattle Starz 2018 team overcame RC high school Silver to round out the HS division.

Both elite brackets displayed some of the most exciting games of the weekend. However, all but one program was able to win out as RC Elite Silver and Carolina both pulled away with the two elite crowns. In the Strife bracket a younger RC Carolina team defeated Hot Sauce Elite in a tightly contested one-goal game. And in the Adrln Elite bracket fans were treated to one of San Diego club lacrosse’s biggest rivalries as the RC elite Silver team took on a talented Laxdawgs Brown squad. RC would pull out the win and take duel trophies at the elite level to finish off a tremendous weekend of lacrosse at the Adrenaline Summer Tournament. The polo grounds offered a fantastic setting and the weather was on par for another successful outing of lacrosse in the Adrenaline Tournament Series.
