Top club programs from all over the west came together last weekend in Colorado for the most storied western team tournament in lacrosse. 60+ college coaches also made the trip knowing the talent on display would be well worth the trek. They kicked off the weekend strong with Western Showcase, which granted college coaches the opportunity to teach and interact with top players who were eager to learn more. Players not only fought hard to propel their team into a high seed ranking for playoffs, but standouts also earned a spot in the 2019 and 2020/21 All-Star games held on Sunday morning. Check out the players who made it here.

65+ boys teams competed across seven pure grad year divisions, with 2019, 2020, and 2021 teams making up the high school level, and 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 teams vying for a division championship and spot in the USL Youth Nationals tournament. Western Shootout was the last of several first-time, western USL National Qualifier events that have proven a great avenue for western teams to fairly earn a chance at a spot in the incredibly competitive east coast event. The rain may have stopped the HS Championships, but two Colorado club programs went home with two MS/youth divisions titles a piece. Congratulations to Doco Lacrosse and Denver Elite on being the best in the west! Click here for championship photos.

The disparity in talent in the west is closing in as evidenced by the variety of teams from different states that made it to the finals, such as MN Select 2020 (MN), NW Rippers 2023 (OR) and Seattle Starz 2021 (WA), to name a few. For all scores on the weekend, click here.
