Greg Gurenlian Signs With Adrenaline

Adrenaline is proud to announce Greg Gurenlian of the MLL’s New York Lizards as the newest member of the Adrenaline Athlete Team. Gurenlian is undoubtedly at the peak of his lacrosse career, having just been named the 2015 MLL “Coca Cola Most Valuable Player” after an insane season. Gurenlian broke the league (as well as his own) single season face-off win percentage record (73.1%) in addition to most ground balls in a single season (175). FOAthlete of the Year and the MLL/US Lacrosse Sportsmanship Award are also among his most recent achievements.
Off the playing field, Greg is heavily immersed in the youth lacrosse community. Aside from being a USAW Certified Olympic Weightlifting Coach and US Lacrosse Convention Speaker, Greg shares his passion for lacrosse on the field as Co-Founder & Coach of the highly successful FaceOff Academy. His passion and dedication to giving back to the lacrosse community aligns perfectly with Adrenaline’s mission to grow the game through authentic methods while teaching players about lessons that apply off the field. “The FaceOff Academy has created an entirely different life for myself,” says Greg. “Every single day I train 30 to 100 FOAthletes and help shape them not just as athletes but as young men. I have finally found something I am even more passionate about than playing, and that’s coaching. Between teaching my athletes how to succeed both on the field and off the field, I get more enjoyment than I ever thought possible”.
This mentality is exactly what we look for when signing on athletes. “We are thrilled to have Greg on board,” says CEO of Adrenaline, Alex Cade. “We’ve been following his career for a while, but obviously what impresses me more is his off-field demeanor and leadership, as well as his dedication to mentoring at the youth level. FaceOff Academy is more than just coaching and mentoring; it is heavily tied to recruiting. “In fact, most of my day is spent helping college coaches find the right athletes for their programs, and also helping parents and players make informed decisions about their futures. I get to work with kids, college athletes, coaches and officials every day and I absolutely love it,” says Greg. His ability to teach kids the basics and carry them through to the next level is something we highly value here at Adrenaline. “Everyday we have kids committing to top-ranked college programs and it feels like just yesterday they were playing in our Adrenaline Youth League games,” says Adrenaline VP, Rory Doucette. “To partner with such a high profiled athlete who shares the same goals as we do only seems natural.”
