With the fall and winter seasons in focus, Adrenaline affiliate club OC Kings is proud to announce MLL Ohio Machine’s Tom Schreiber as the newest addition to the coaching staff. Schreiber is one of the top players in the world and will be an extremely valuable asset to the OC Kings program. Schreiber was the 1st overall draft pick in 2014 and was a fantastic addition to the already high-powered Ohio Machine midfield line with Adrenaline Athletes Kyle Harrison and Peter Baum. In 2015 Schreiber went on to earn All-MLL Team honors after he lead the Ohio midfielders in points (60) and assists (30). He finished tied for first in the entire MLL in assists along side Steele Stanwick and Rob Pannell.
Schreiber will make the big move west this September to coach the OC Kings Skills sessions and consequently the Fall club teams alongside former Princeton teammate, Brian Kavanagh, Brendon Fowler (Duke, MLL Charlotte Hounds) and Knute Kraus (Denver Outlaws, Salisbury-DIII Defenseman of the Year), to name a few. The Skills sessions will double as tryouts for the elite/high school fall teams that will participate in various events in western states.
Additionally, Schreiber will take over the head-coaching job at Orange County powerhouse, J Serra Catholic High School, where his current teammate Kyle Harrison previously coached. Harrison is confident he will preserve the integrity of the program and guide the team to success. “Not only is Tom one of the best players I’ve ever had the opportunity to be around, he’s about the right stuff off the field,” says Harrison. “He’s a leader, humble, and hard working. I couldn’t be more excited that he’s making the move to continue the growth of the game on the west coast.”
