Former Orange County lacrosse standout Knute Kraus returns home after finishing up an illustrious career at Salisbury University to give back to the local lacrosse community as the new Director of the OC Kings club program. Knute was a 2x NCAA All-American and a National Champion at Salisbury where he also earned CAC All-Academic Team honors along with numerous other accolades. Just this week Knute was named a first team All-American and division III defensemen of the year, the top award a defensemen can receive.
OC Kings is a top club lacrosse program that brings together the best talent in Orange County and competes against the best of the west coast while also preparing its players for the next level.
Knute was a former OC Kings player, a member of the West Coast Starz club program, Adrenaline All-American and a member of the highly touted Adrenaline Tropics club team.
“I’ve had an unbelievable time at Salisbury over the last four years but am excited to come home to Orange County to coach some of the local players and make sure the OC Kings program continues to thrive. I wouldn’t have been afforded many of the opportunities I’ve had in the lacrosse world without the Adrenaline Club program so it feels good to come back now and be on the other end of the spectrum as a coach and director.”
With Knute being a veteran of the OC Kings, he will be a valuable asset and mentor to the players and club lacrosse organization as a whole. Being through the OC Kings system and fresh out of college, Knute will be able to guide the new generation of lacrosse players to help them find and be recruited by the college that is right for them. With Knute back on the team, we are excited for what is to come.
