West Coast Starz is the premiere national club lacrosse program west of the Mississippi. Since its inception in 2006, WCS has been the #1 club in the West. Rosters are made up of the most elite players of strong character and academic prowess who aspire to play at the collegiate level. On the boys side, the network of players spans 15 different states, whereas the girls side of the program is more regionally based out of Southern California. WCS players compete in the nation’s top summer/fall recruiting events against the best clubs in the country where they receive the ultimate collegiate exposure, all while having fun learning and making lifelong memories and friendships.

WCS Boys

Another highly successful summer season comes to end for the West Coast Starz boys in the 12th year of the program. The opportunity to coach the best players in the West is an amazing experience. Seeing kids from all over come together to create lasting memories on and off the field is priceless.  With over 200 players, 12 states, and 42 NCAA Division 1 commitments represented on our 8 teams (2018-2022), it was one of the most talented and diverse groups we have ever assembled.

The following players were the top 5 standouts from each team:

2018 – Quentin Buchman (Bryant), Nick DeMaio (Boston), George Pike (Maryland), Evan Egan (North Carolina), and Beau Pederson (Princeton)

2019 – Michael Mines (Rutgers), Topher Bligh (Brown), Oliver Mirer (Michigan), Jonathan Ford (Notre Dame), Holden Evans (Utah)

2020 – Teagan Bultman (Brown), Chase Ladrido (Hopkins), Michael Boehm (Michigan), Dylan Bauer (Hopkins), Jack Rigley (West Point), Marshall McGuire (Syracuse)

2021 – Tyler Buchner (Michigan), Dewey Egan, Matt Nunes, Lake Baker, Gage Dado, and Conor Spagnolli

2022 – Hayden Kern, John Culley, Connor Guerrero, Parker Dechant, Bruno Chapman

The teams went a combined 62-19-2 for a 75% win percentage. The boys did this while competing at the biggest and best recruiting events in the country. These events included the ADRLN Platinum Cup, Big 4 Summer Championship, Sweetlax Invitational, NXT MVP Rising, ADRLN Invitational and the NLF Summer National Championship. These events have become the summer’s upper standard for the best club programs and the top college recruiters to attend.

A huge thanks to all of our coaches! Our WCS teams were coached by top high school coaches and NCAA coaches from Bowdoin, Utah, Emerson, Beloit, Arcadia, St. Josephs and San Diego State. The balance of talented players and knowledgeable coaches led to some great highlights on the field. They capped multiple wins over well-known powerhouse programs like Mesa Fresh, Legacy, Igloo, Sweetlax, LI Express, Madlax, Big 4, Eclipse and Edge Canada to name a few. With the MLL season ending, we look forward to our MLL professional players- Peter Baum, Kyle Harrison, Joe Walters, Adam Ghitleman, and Greg Gurenlian- re-joining the coaching staff for the Fall/Winter season.

We are currently looking for 25 of the best players from the 2018-2025 classes to represent WCS at the best three recruiting events of the fall season. All players will get the latest in ADRLN team gear, access to the ADRLN recruiting platform and access to the best individual showcases in the West.  If you believe you have what it takes to be the one of the top players in the west, be sure to attend one of our several tryouts we will be hosting over multiple cities across the country in a few days! We look forward to seeing you at tryouts!
