matt Brown

Matt Brown is a coach, former professional athlete, and leader in the growth of lacrosse across the United States and Canada. Known for his offensive creativity, player development, and leadership, Matt has spent nearly two decades helping build one of college lacrosse’s premier programs at the University of Denver.

A native of Burnaby, British Columbia, Matt starred as an attackman at Denver from 2002–2005, becoming one of the top offensive players in program history. He went on to play professionally in both the National Lacrosse League and Major League Lacrosse after being selected fifth overall in the NLL Draft.

Matt joined the University of Denver coaching staff in 2007 and became part of Bill Tierney’s staff in 2009.
